First of all organization is the key..Have lists for everything.
Keep a magnetic pad on the fridge..when you know you need something -write it down
Faithfully keep a datebook in your handbag, and keep it up dated all the time
appointments
work schedule
social events
anything at all that pertains to your life
Invest in some swiffer products.(not the "Wet Jet" it sucks) but the swiffer wet clothes and also the swiifer vac are great for quick clean ups.You can wash and reuse the drycloths
Have a place for everything ,always put things back in the same spot-this will prevent you from having to waste valuable looking for things.
Be like a waitress...they always are carrying something in their hands,if you have to travel from room to room, make sure you have something to bring to that room!
Always be sure to make time for yourself each day..whether it's reading a book, taking a relaxing bath or going for a walk...reward yourself..otherwise you become stressed and feel you are put on this earth to cater to the wants and needs of others! And DON"T feel guilty about it!
if you are feeling that you have no time...look at how each day you manage your time and find ways to become more efficient..

Dear Holly
ReplyDeleteHere is a tip for a busy women......get a maid!!!
Do busy women have time to post tips on the computer? Or are they multitasking?
ReplyDeleteI do have a cleaning lady come in once every 2 weeks but not everyone can afford one! Thanks for the additional tip frantasia!
ReplyDeleteDear T ..the busy woman has made herself even more efficient and has made some time for herself to spend some time on the computer.
ReplyDeletegood advice Holly, keep it coming
ReplyDeleteBut do busy women have time to facebook AND blog? Perhaps some busy women spend so much time giving tips and blogging etc. that some OTHER areas suffer? what about the busy hockey mom? the busy mom with small children? Does Holly have kids in sports or a young family. What about giving tips on juggling family activities?
ReplyDeleteLike I said I do have time to give tips now that my kids are grown..but 2 of them still live here...I want to make sure the busy woman knows that she NEEDS to make some time for herself, even the "hockey" moms..because when it boils down to it are those children really going to thank them for being so selfless? ..NO..it is only going to make them more SELFish...they will realize that the world does not revolve around them and be abit more appreciative of their mother's time spent with them..not expect it.Tips on family activities depend on each idividual family..however if a parent(s)is running each and every night of the year and has no family time, perhaps the family should look at paring down some activities to make way for some quality family time..sometimes less is more.
